As a growing business we have an exciting opportunity for a Manual Machinist to join our team on a full-time basis. Our team in Machine Shop are a vital and highly skilled part of the team here at Peak, they regularly undergo training and development and have constant support from our Production Manager, Mechanical Design Engineers and Directors. The solutions we produce vary from job to job, meaning the position is very interesting and allows our engineers to learn and improve their skills every day.

The ideal candidate will

  • Be conscientious and able to work under their own initiative.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Manual machining of parts. Turning experience is an advantage but not a must.
  • Help to improve cycle times and processes.
  • Responsible for inspecting your own work.

Skills Required

  • Apprenticeship or formal qualification in mechanical/manufacturing engineering is desirable.
  • Proven experience working in a machine shop is essential.
